Academy Council
The Academy Council plays a vital role in the governance and accountability of Willowbrook Primary School and is comprised of Governors who want to make a positive contribution to the school community.
Currently, the role of Academy Council is being overseen by a sub-committee of the Board of Trustees. This arrangement will continue until recruitment of the new Academy Council is complete.
This link takes you to the core responsibilities of Academy Councils at Acorn:
Their responsibilities lie in the areas of:
- Parent relations
- Vision and values
- Community relations
- Under the umbrella of the professionals at the Trust, Safeguarding
- Behaviour and reward
- Wider curriculum
As well as the above the Academy Council has an understanding of the school through the self-evaluation form which gives information on all aspects of the school three times a year.
The Academy Council is also the key link between the local governance and the Board of the Acorn education Trust.
